"The strength of the Origini Italia project lies in its ability to create a network of professionals who, despite living and building their careers elsewhere in the world, view Friuli Venezia Giulia as a land of opportunity," stated Massimiliano Fedriga, the Governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
He was welcoming the young participants of the Corso Origini Italia 2023-24, organized by the MIB Trieste School of Management and dedicated to descendants of Italian emigrants abroad, many of whom originate from Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The project's goal is to provide managerial and entrepreneurial skills and to foster the development of professional and cultural ties with the country of origin.
The meeting took place at the Region's headquarters in Trieste, attended by the Regional Councillor for Local Autonomies with delegation to Corregional Abroad, Pierpaolo Roberti, the students of Origini 2023, course director Stefano Pilotto, and MIB Trieste CEO Vladimir Nanut.
Fedriga highlighted Friuli Venezia Giulia's unique position as a borderland, translating into opportunities for dialogue with neighboring countries and beyond, subsequently thanking MIB Trieste for its ongoing high-level training activities.
Councillor Roberti, joining the Governor's thanks, announced a specific funding by the Region for an upcoming event that will gather in Friuli Venezia Giulia participants from all editions of Origini Italia held so far.
During the day, the participants also had the honor of being received by the Prefect of Trieste, Pietro Signoriello, at the Government Palace.
The Origini Italia program in Export Management and Entrepreneurial Development is managed by MIB Trieste in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
The next edition will start on November 4, 2024, and participation is free of charge, thanks to the financial support of partner entities and institutions.
